F1 and Ferrari event.. (and potluck preamble)
What's better than a Ferrari?
Nope, the answer is not Lamborghini or Martini..
It's many Ferraris! =p
And who says you can't drift in an F1 car?
But yeah, it just finished raining twice..
Shall upload some pictures of potluck if and when i get some pics from the people who actually had the chance to take pictures. Phone ran out of battery just as I finished cooking. Lolz..

City tour with IMSS
The fire service here is very very efficient. About 5 minutes tops after the false alarm rang this arrived at college square. But i guess it's too efficient at times. Firemen were like -_- when they arrived, since it's been at least the 3rd time a false alarm happened in half a year.
Ah, yes, a nice wedding by the lake at the botanic gardens. A nice plan. A nice place. [Much bigger than a certain red dot's botanical gardens though. =p ]
The wonderful watery entrance of NGV. Very nice place. Should go there soon. Saw my first picasso in person! Whoa..and a whole lot of other nice drawings and sculptures. Very interesting. Shall go again soon if I can.
Check out the sculptures at the entrance if you go there. They're sculptures of the human body, not life-like kinds, but a bit weird kinds. They have the head, torso, limbs and certain gender-defining appendages that are intentionally stretched long and pointy. A little boy was playing around with one of them. Maybe not a very good idea eh? =p
And a nice view of the Yarra river. Lovers can book a Venice-like gondola to cruise along the river. But I guess definitely not during summer days. Nights perhaps. Not days. It was a lot more scorching than the picture looks.
Come visit soon. Then I'll have an excuse to go back and visit some nice places. And enjoy the company. I hope. Hehe~
PS. Who has any idea how to get on the wireless? Maybe I should get the IT staff to checkout my laptop to see what's wrong since I've followed all the instructions and still failed to go online. :(
PPS. Who's joining which society? MOMU anybody? OCF? Apollo?

oz dogs
Some people have commented that ozzie dogs are kinda weird.
Well their definitely big for sure.
At least those you get at grills, not the woodsworth kind. (Woodsworth and safeways are one and the same, basically like a small supermarket like NTUC fairprice or..Jusco perhaps? No real malaysian equivalent i guess.)
Sorry don't have the dog picture with me right now. But you're welcome to look at some pictures of biscuits. =p

Mmm..
You know what the best part of staying in a high Italian density area is?
Yes, white mushrooms!
Man, another of my lifelong wishes has come true. =)
It tastes just great with my spaghetti. Whee~

There is no such thing as surrender..We only retreat temporarily
Winning the war is not about winning every battle.
"We won every single battle but lost the war."
Roland Deschain, The Dark Tower Series
And, winning the war is not all about pushing non-stop. After all, a good fighter doesn't just know the meaning of attack, but also the value of a temporary retreat. Because sometimes, there can be no advance without a timely retreat.
Now that the retreat has been initiated and is over with, this is the time for us to advance once again, and finally emerge victorious!

Good night?

Turning into a night owl.
Not good.
Don't really want to sleep unless it's waaaaay past my usual bedtime.
Haha, actually if this continues my "usual bedtime" would just be this time that I sleep.
Rats.
Definitely not good.
No more mind over matter crap. This time, the mind must yield to the body's demands.

Rebirth..Then is there something called re-labor-pains?
Wanted to say 死灰复燃..but oh well..
It's still true in a sense..
Error code 2,4 resurfaced, even after the motherboard and graphics card was replaced.
And as usual, only popped up after the technician left for some time.
Sometimes it's a love-hate relationship with computers.
It adores me, and I hate it.
=p
Or was it the other way round?

Operation Snake Eater Completed

Yeah! After nearly a year of gameplay, and more than 1 year since I got hold of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, it's over. Whee!
And I'm a bat.
Haha..lousy ranking..shall try this time to get something better. Not FOX though, that's going to take too much time. Target is just to get all Keratan frogs and all boss camo suits. Should not be too hard.
Whee!
Lol..
Who are the Patriots? La-li-lu-le-lo.
Cool.
Too bad all these was just a big cover up for more deceitful purposes. Can't really blame Big Boss from turning out into what he was in the end. Oh well..Solid Snake still rocks =p
Sorry to all who don't really know much about Metal Gear Solid series.

Work, work..
Who said that?
[I'm starting to turn into Larry..rats]
Like Gaylord Focker said, "Who says there's no such thing as a male nurse? I'm one!"
Or something like that.
All the best in the upcoming CAs, y'all! Mug hard k?
I'll be joining you too..
Just that it's a different subject..
And in a different place..
And I don't have CAs.
But yeah, my best wishes still goes out to you people.
Gambatte! =p

Engineer Bob

Going through the third book of the Dark Tower series. It's called The Waste Lands, and is inspired by the T.S. Elliot poem, The Waste Land.
I will show you fear in a handful of dust.
In the book, the boy Jake goes insane [hey, not his fault..it's due to a timeline split paradox] and writes a wonderful poem that is symbolic and et cetera et cetera.
Blaine is a pain
and that is the truth.
Choo-choo, choo-choo
Choo-choo, choo-choo, choo-choo
And that is the truth.
And surprisingly, he got an A for that.
Anyway, in Jake's when and where, he gets hold of a children's book about Charlie the Choo-choo. A supposedly alive train that talks with its driver who's called Engineer Bob.
Ok, at least Engineer Bob was there as long as Charlie was in commision. Only stopped when the company "retired" the old locomotive.
The engineer in charge yesterday was no Engineer Bob. 3 times the train from Bandar Tasik Selatan was cancelled. And why?
Let me tell you why I wasted 45 minutes waiting for a train in the midst of a haze brought on by kind neighbours.
The engineer in charge was overseas.
Most probably on holiday.
Self-declared holiday?
Not sure.
And that is the truth.
Return me the 45 minutes of my life wasted. Or recompense me.
Compensation for a portion of life doesn't come cheap.
