MAD - Mutually Assured Destruction, the military doctrine that advocates nuclear deterence by ensuring that both sides would be totally annihilated beyond any hope in the case that a full-scale nuclear war really happens.

API - Air Pollution Index, the rating of how polluted the air is.

Both fitting acronyms.

MAD is really a mad policy. Barbaric and self-centered, not to mention that there wouldn't be anything left to live for after a war happens.

API is usually quoted in this region only when haze sets in, usually caused by the burning of lush forests by our neighbour. Which involves api, or fire.

At least the night scene here looks a little like wintery places, or Genting. Or like the rubber plantation in Langkawi with a bonfire right in the middle.
