Is Hell Exothermic or Endothermic? A Partially Scientific Explanation

This is just a funny email I received from [mi-mo-sa] and is not meant to ridicule any religion. Read it with an open mind and enjoy a good laugh from all that rubbish that is written. =)

If someone actually asks you this question "Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs Heat)?" what would you answer? The question was actually given on a University of Washington chemistry mid-term. The answer by one of the student was so "profound" that the porfessor shared it with colleagues, via the internet, which is if course, why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well. Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant.

One student. however, wrote the following:

First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving. (Ed: Assuming souls have mass. Which I think there isn't, but that's another metaphysical argument for another day.) I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave.
Therefore, no souls are leaving.
As for how many souls are entering hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of such religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number if souls in Hell to increase exponentially.
Now we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell. Because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added.

This gives 2 possibilities:

1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the Temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.

2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.

So which is it?

If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year that, "It will be a cold day in Hell before i sleep with you," and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number 2 must be true, and thus I am sure that hell is exothermic and has already frozen over. The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is
not accepting any more souls and is therefore, exinct......leaving only heaven thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, last night, Teresa kept shouting"oh my God!"

THIS STUDENT RECEIVED THE ONLY "A"

TST..ouch!

From observations and numerous personal trials and tribulations ( lol! ) it has come to light that there are at least two kinds of nurses.

The gentle ones.

And the rough ones.

I wonder if the Mantoux test inflammed area actually underwent much more inflammation from all that skewering from the pen. Yes, like somebody once said in cantonese, "neh, ko ko chap ge yeh."

Anyway, thank God I'm TB free! No more jabs! Except maybe a jab or two coupled with a left hook and right uppercut, followed by a side kick......

Cloths of Heaven for an Angel

He Wishes for the Cloths of Heaven

Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread carefully because you tread on my dreams.

Positive Feedback Part 3

You love me.

Making me love you more.

Which makes you love me more.

Which makes you ever more lovable.

Which goes on and on and on forever.

Wonderful! =)

Positive Feedback Part 2

This is something mentioned by Mr Nicolantonio from Unimelb. Roughly..with a few things added in..

So basically you go to a bar during the weekend.

And you drink.

Not water la, ethanol!

So what does ethanol do to you? It acts as a central nervous depressant.

So what does this mean? Well..

You lose your inhibitions, including social norms and moral values. Or your drinking partner loses hers. Whatever. Not important. (What? Not everybody is a sex fiend..hehe..)

You secrete less of ADH, the hormone that allows you to regain some lost water from the kidneys.

This makes your bladder fill up fast.

Real fast.

So fast that you keep going to the loo/toilet/johns.

So much so that you become dehydrated from all that water loss.

So you think of getting something cool to drink.

Which is, in a bar, more chilled alcohol.

Which further adds to this vicious cycle.

End of story...or is it? Let's consider other things to add to the complexity of this since we are all bo liao inquisitive people. =p

While you're chugging away happily at your alcohol, you feel bored.

So what do you do?

Grab something to eat.

Something handy.

Something small.

Something in big amounts.

Like popcorn.

Or salted peanuts. (Yeah, no such thing as popcorn in bars I think. What? You think got free show? Even cinema free shows also need to buy your own popcorn leh)

Which contain lots of salt. (Duh)

Which makes you more thirsty.

Which makes you order more alcohol.

Which..well you know.

Additionally, notice how people who go to bars/discos/clubs/pubs tend to gyrate and dance? And gyrating people tend to produce more heat and the body counteracts this by...yes, you're right..sweating!

Which dehydrates you more.

And you know what.

In addition, think about the ambience. Nope, not the colors or deco. The ambient temperature. =p

It's never cold yeah? Until it's time to leave. Which means you get your metabolism rate and sweating up to a nice and fast rate.

Meaning more dehydration.

And..yada yada yada

So, in conclusion, it's a positive feedback loop. Yes, like what you learn in biology. Or medicine. Or physics electronics.

And the only thing to stop that is basically either:
a) They turn down the heat and cool you down.
b) You get so drunk that you get "escorted" out by the bouncers.
c) You get even more drunk than that and you faint.
d) You get so unimaginably drunk that you faint and need to get your stomach pumped to prevent further damage to your liver and all other cells within you.

All of which would most likely get you hungover.

That is, if you've not yet given up the ghost, so to speak.

And if you have not, there's always another weekend all over again.

Positive Feedback Part 1

You treat me so good.

You were with me through thick and thin.

You really know where to start fixing my broken heart.

Your emotional tools can cure any fool (particularly this one).

I'm so sorry for putting you through so much.

Even though you say you are willing to, it breaks my heart for burdening you so.

Which could and most likely will lead to you fixing my broken heart.

And so the cycle continues...

nick

Could someone enlighten me on what is:

[c=x] nick [/c]

where x is a seemingly random number, and nick is the msn nickname.

"Nick? What does that mean?

Oh, nothing. My dad thought of it while he was shaving."

What's better than a Ferrari?

Nope, the answer is not Lamborghini or Martini..

It's many Ferraris! =p

And who says you can't drift in an F1 car?

But yeah, it just finished raining twice..

Shall upload some pictures of potluck if and when i get some pics from the people who actually had the chance to take pictures. Phone ran out of battery just as I finished cooking. Lolz..

Why we need God

Why?

Isn't the question supposed to be whether instead of why?

Well, no. I'm firmly believing, with faith, that it is why rather than whether. And all those rational atheists can come up with all their arguments that there is no God/no need for God but I choose not to believe that they are right. Simply because of faith. I know it's totally illogical from a "rational" person's viewpoint, but I also believe that we do not know nor comprehend all things (which only God does) so don't expect me to come up with an inpenetrable answer to that.

Anyway.

Why?

Because of all the blessings in our lives.
Because although we want to, we will never be able to always be there for the ones we love. Things just get in between. Distance. Death. You know the rest..
Because we can ask things in His name and they will come true if it's good for us. Things like taking care of our loved ones in our stead when we can't be there for them.
Because we are made so. Whether we admit it or not, or choose to.

Planetshakers

Heard of them? They're the group that produces albums of Christian songs that are famous worldwide, at least in less traditional churches.

Now I can proudly say..

Been there, done that, got me a free cd..

Haha..lol..it's not the "main" branch or anything, but planetshakers city church was quite energy-filled, what I'd expect of any of their branches. And it was their 3rd anniversary too. First-timers got a free album and some Tim Tams and Subway munchies.

How cool can that be?! And you get a lot of exercise..from the walking there parts, the praise and worship sessions, and the run/walk back parts. Well, you get the idea.

And yeah, the jeans salespeople have just got it sooooo wrong. My buy-a-one-size-larger-than-you-currently-are-because-you'd-probably-turn-fat jeans are starting to slide down. How come everytime I go out to study my weight drops? I should seriously consider patenting this method as a foolproof weight-loss, I mean weight management program. [Yeah, the more politically correct term? =p]

And my uni wireless is finally up and running. Hopefully the webcam will not let me down like this one did.

Wow, nice graphics, captivating story line!

City tour with IMSS

The fire service here is very very efficient. About 5 minutes tops after the false alarm rang this arrived at college square. But i guess it's too efficient at times. Firemen were like -_- when they arrived, since it's been at least the 3rd time a false alarm happened in half a year.

Ah, yes, a nice wedding by the lake at the botanic gardens. A nice plan. A nice place. [Much bigger than a certain red dot's botanical gardens though. =p ]

The wonderful watery entrance of NGV. Very nice place. Should go there soon. Saw my first picasso in person! Whoa..and a whole lot of other nice drawings and sculptures. Very interesting. Shall go again soon if I can.

Check out the sculptures at the entrance if you go there. They're sculptures of the human body, not life-like kinds, but a bit weird kinds. They have the head, torso, limbs and certain gender-defining appendages that are intentionally stretched long and pointy. A little boy was playing around with one of them. Maybe not a very good idea eh? =p

And a nice view of the Yarra river. Lovers can book a Venice-like gondola to cruise along the river. But I guess definitely not during summer days. Nights perhaps. Not days. It was a lot more scorching than the picture looks.

Come visit soon. Then I'll have an excuse to go back and visit some nice places. And enjoy the company. I hope. Hehe~

PS. Who has any idea how to get on the wireless? Maybe I should get the IT staff to checkout my laptop to see what's wrong since I've followed all the instructions and still failed to go online. :(

PPS. Who's joining which society? MOMU anybody? OCF? Apollo?

Oz dog

Yeah, here's the oz dogs i was telling you about. This is considered small by local standards i guess. Was bought at the supermarket. Big ones can be found at the market.

oz dogs

Some people have commented that ozzie dogs are kinda weird.

Well their definitely big for sure.

At least those you get at grills, not the woodsworth kind. (Woodsworth and safeways are one and the same, basically like a small supermarket like NTUC fairprice or..Jusco perhaps? No real malaysian equivalent i guess.)

Sorry don't have the dog picture with me right now. But you're welcome to look at some pictures of biscuits. =p

Yes, white mushrooms!

It tastes just great with my spaghetti. Whee~

UniMelb

Ah, here I am at Melbourne finally. Using the university's free internet service! =) So kind of them. Alas, I can't install anything (including msn and skype) so no free webcamming as well :( Although that would be kind of weird if I did that..

Weather here's kind of unexpectedly warm. In fact, it's starting to feel more and more like home, except for the reduced amount of perspiration and the resulting reduction in atmospheric humidity. Makes it sound like some kind of weird connection between the amount of sweat I produce and the percentage humidity eh? =p

It's a nice place here overall. Lygon Street aka the Italian Street is REALLY Italian! Full of Italian shops, operated by Italians who speak Italian, patronised by Italians who order Italian food and drinks, and non-Italian blur strollers walking by who have no idea what the Italians are speaking about at all. The bank is nearby, so probably the blur will drop by and have a quick look see and probably set up an account there. Please, don't mug him..mug with him but don't mug him..After all he's just another regular broke bloke who needs to slog through school.

Anyways, after a whole day of sleep yesterday I should really be on my way getting to know the city. After all, I can't tell my girlfriend that sorry, I don't know where to bring you and what's nice to do when she comes over right? Lol..

Well guys, (and girls) still no internet at my place now, but I shall see what I can do about it. In the mean time, drop me an email and I shall try my best to reply you. And yes, that's where you can get my new temp mobile number from. Most likely I'll switch over to a postpaid cap plan during the middle of next month.

Til then, hola!

Auld lang syne

This could possibly be the last post I'll make back home in a long long while. Tomorrow and the day after would be really busy.

The birdies have left the nest. It was just too sudden. Thank God pa was there to record the maiden flight of the smaller bird. Which is surprising, since the smaller one was never really the one to be first in anything, be it getting the parents' attention, grabbing food or anything else. We always thought the greedy fella who had a tumble down the nest trying to fly would always be the first in succeeding. So, watch out for the quiet ones. There are real surprises lurking beneath that outward calm and demure look. =p Should have realised that since last Easter. Oh well~

Made my ma cry last night. But I guess it's part and parcel of it all. I'm still her child after all. And leaving is never easy, especially when you're going somewhere that is "still very close by". Perhaps it's just the feeling that it's so hard to visit, to have surprise trips or to just be there physically. I just hope she gets over it soon. And I hope the other girl in my life won't follow the example of this girl. Be strong and we'll all meet soon enough with God's grace.

Thank you so much for the surprise in advance. =p It means a lot!

To all other family members and friends, take care. For those I havn't met up one last time due to various circumstances, please forgive me. I'll still be contactable via msn, just ask around for the add if you don't have it. I really hope to cya guys within the year. For those people who have been such chums and keep meeting up with me, thank you so much! I really feel the love =)

Flight leaves Sunday night 9pm. Since I have to check in the counter by 7pm, I should be around the airport from 6pm onwards. Ah, you all know the procedure. Hehe..all so pro already. As usual no big gifts will be accepted, at least I won't be bringing it on the flight. Just bring yourselves and that would be more than enough. =p

Pray hard for me. I'll keep you all in my prayers and thoughts.

Miss you all.

Take care.

God bless.

Ja, ne..

-_-"

Does Jane look like Peter?

Forgot how they looked like in the books.

San insists they look alike. In real life. Or at least in pictures.

Any comments?

Gush!

Ah, my girlfriend is the best in the world!

Help, I'm turning mushy..but it's just such a good feeling knowing she's so sweet and thoughtful.

AAAAHHHH!

*faints*

Now everything begins..

Ah, 200.

A superb number since it's a hundred times better than 2.

Which is good since 2 and 2 is one of the best combinations! =)

So, this should be a post a hundred times more special than the usual drudgery I post. And a hundred times more random too perhaps? =p

Anyway, there was something that was constantly popping unbidden into my mind for some time now. After reading a book, there was a line that kinda stood out.

What if the very thing that brought us together drives us apart?

Yes, what if it drove us apart? Such a scary and really ironic thought. However, something happened that reminded me of one of the reasons she is so endearing. All along silly me had this idea that the Little Red Dot was the reason we got closer and served as a starting point for everything that followed. Hahas! What she said recently just suddenly refocused my scattered memories and showed me the truth. It was never the Red Dot that brought us together (although that could be a reason among reasons why we got so much closer). Really, it was Easter. Ie., the willingness and act of serving God. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but I really feel that this would really be impossible to drive us apart. A single line from her pierces through the clouds of uncertainty to let the light in. What a stroke of genius! Thank God =)

Ok, random fans out there..a random fact: It's now mostly cloudy over in Melbourne.

Yup.

Back to the point now.

For so long, I've been wanting. Waiting. For God to speak to me, for a miracle. And so here it comes along. God's way of saying, "See, know that all things work for the good of those who love God." Yes, this is my physical proof of blessing. My endearing reminder that there's something more to look forward to.

A gentle, kind spirit.

Beauty from within [and without too, in case your wondering how she looks like. Stunning. Beautiful. Gorgeous. Und so weiter]

A faithful lover of Christ.

She's all these and so much more. Things you just can't put your finger on.

Random fact number 2: It's nearly 2 and I'm zombifying.

When the 2 come 2gether, everything just falls into place. =)

Random fact number 3: It's 2:22.

Let me thank the many people who made the best weekend of my life so far possible.
[With the exception of the first name, all others are NOT ranked according to importance. It's just another random list.]

Jane, without whom none of this would exist. Thank you for just being who you are, and for the braveness to help me break through the barriers, as well as the generosity and grace to forgive me for destroying all possibility for you to achieve your "little goal". Thanks dear =)

*start of random list*
~ the entire core wong family, for your support and willingness to keep mum about the whole thing.
~ the two elder wongs, for your tacit encouragement.
~ the two elder lims, for your approval.
~ the two younger lims, for being so teh and busybody.
~ amze, for your part in keeping the lady of honor within the confines of PGP.
~ peter the fictional friend, for your role in springing the plan and also for the unexpected part in preventing a potentially messy and embarrassing situation involving fainted ladies.
~ jason, for being so understanding and hospitable, as well as for the advice and support given.
~ God [of course!], for the support and leading, besides helping to prevent busybody cleaners from spoiling the surprise, and also generally for everything.
~ the cleaners, for not interrupting at the crucial moments.
~ NUS, for clearing the whole of Friday for a certain someone, as well as making all others slog it away on campus, thus being unable to disrupt my plans.
~ KTMB and/or Customs of both Malaysia and Singapore, for ensuring a smooth and most importantly, only-5-minute-delay-instead-of-the-usual-one-hour-delay trip.
~ grandpa, for your offers of help and assistance
~ triple H, for not insisting or making a fuss about not going yamca with you on Saturday.
~ snow sis, for your support, prayers and advice, as well as taking care of her.
~ the con saleswoman [Yeah, I'd still like to believe it was your birthday eve. In spite of it all.], for introducing us to our first couple perfume. Oh well, kudos to you for that. It's quite a good idea anyway =p
~ FCBC, for the multiple events-cum-meeting points, as well as providing the environment for constant reaffirmation and encouragement from God. [Yup, congrats to you, looks to me that every service is as big as a rally event over here. Thank God!]
~ xuan, for coming on Monday instead of Saturday.

*end of random list*

And, so...

My apologies for for being so slow. And for causing you so much suffering, not just now, but for a long time to come. So, as you've said, let's focus on our studies and serving God, two very important ingredients that lead us on the path to permanent reunion. In the mean time, I'll try my best to improve. No more bakas, no more crazy nauseating driving [lol, quite easy this is..no car to drive once I start], less klutzy-ness, more yummy recipes.

And may God bless you always, while looking after you together with Mr Donkey and Mr Lion in the place of a constantly absent boyfriend.

However..

If you get there before I do,
Don't give up on me,
I'll meet you when my chores are through,
I don't know how long I'll be,
But I'm not gonna let you down,
Darling wait and see.
And between now and then,
Till I see you again,
I'll be loving you,
Love,
Me

I'm sorry..

My condolences friend.

It was just so sudden.

I'll make it back soon enough. Just hang in there.

Two Things..

When I was tidying up my letters,
I found one my mother gave me when I was leaving home.
On it was written two things:
It's true there are certain principles that you must maintain,
Hopefully there will be a good start,
Beware that you do not get lost in the city,
There will always be a place for you at home;
There is no limit to a person's freedom,
But only the intertwining of two people's hearts is enriching,
So earnestly look for the girl you love,
And give her happiness all her life.

There is no such thing as surrender..We only retreat temporarily

Winning the war is not about winning every battle.

"We won every single battle but lost the war."

And, winning the war is not all about pushing non-stop. After all, a good fighter doesn't just know the meaning of attack, but also the value of a temporary retreat. Because sometimes, there can be no advance without a timely retreat.

Now that the retreat has been initiated and is over with, this is the time for us to advance once again, and finally emerge victorious!

OMG!

Never, NEVER accept Peter's invitation to have lunch at his house if he asks you!

I looked at his lunch and it was...

was..

[help me out here, I'm at a loss for words..]

was.. terrible looking. (I'm being polite here =p )

Unless of course it's spaghetti, yao choy [healthy oil-less one at that -_-"] or drunken chicken with certain herbs.

Maybe I'll just go vegetarian whenever there's an invitation from him.

Edit: The fish was not bad. Although he forgot the sugar. And was one of the worst dishes he thought he cooked. But still..Let's stick to the char kway teows =p

Random

It's sad to hurt the ones you love, especially if it's not on purpose.

On another note, I just found out. Scarborough Fair is NOT a love song or anything like that. It's more like a twisted love song? Haha..or rather, more like a jilted lover who finally has the chance of making his/her former true love regret that move.

I'm very random now yeah?

Scarborough Fair

BOTH

Are you going to Scarborough Fair?
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme,
Remember me to one who lives there,
For she once was a true love of mine.

MAN

Tell her to make me a cambric shirt,
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme,
Without any seam nor needlework,
And then she'll be a true love of mine.

Tell her to wash it in yonder dry well,
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme,
Which never sprung water nor rain ever fell,
And then she'll be a true love of mine.

Tell her to dry it on yonder thorn,
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme,
Which never bore blossom since Adam was born,
And then she'll be a true love of mine.

Ask her to do me this courtesy,
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme,
And ask for a like favour from me,
And then she'll be a true love of mine.

BOTH

Have you been to Scarborough Fair?
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme,
Remember me from one who lives there,
For he once was a true love of mine.

WOMAN

Ask him to find me an acre of land,
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme,
Between the salt water and the sea-sand,
For then he'll be a true love of mine.

Ask him to plough it with a lamb's horn,
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme,
And sow it all over with one peppercorn,
For then he'll be a true love of mine.

Ask him to reap it with a sickle of leather,
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme,
And gather it up with a rope made of heather,
For then he'll be a true love of mine.

When he has done and finished his work,
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme,
Ask him to come for his cambric shirt,
For then he'll be a true love of mine.

BOTH

If you say that you can't, then I shall reply,
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme,
Oh, Let me know that at least you will try,
Or you'll never be a true love of mine.

Love imposes impossible tasks,
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme,
But none more than any heart would ask,
I must know you're a true love of mine.

Finally, Random is the daughter of Arthur Dent. Random Frequent Flyer Dent, to be exact. And there's totally no link between this post and characters from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Just saw something on the net..

It's called 4 steps to God

Basically just the basics of why and how to be a Christian. Not a bad idea this.. =)

I'll Be

The strands in your eyes that color them wonderful
Stop me and steal my breath
Emeralds from mountains thrust toward the sky
Never revealing their depth
Tell me that we belong together
Dress it up with the trappings of love
I'll be captivated
I'll hang from your lips
Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above

Chorus:
I'll be your crying shoulder
I'll be your love suicide
and I'll be better when I'm older
I'll be the greatest fan of your life

Rain falls angry on the tin roof
As we lie awake in my bed
You're my survival, you're my living proof
My love is alive not dead
Tell me that we belong together
Dress it up with the trappings of love
I'll be captivated I'll hang from your lips
Instead of the gallows of heartache, that hang from above

Repeat Chorus

I've been dropped out, burned up, fought my way back from the dead
Tuned in, turned on, Remembered the things that you said

Repeat Chorus

I'll Be
Edwin McCain

Can I be all that?

Insomnia

Can't sleep..

This could be one of the biggest decisions I'll ever make. Thank God for the good news and this wonderful opportunity. =)

"Sleep, seeing a perfect reproduction of Himself, comes to be united with his facsimile."
The Time Traveler's Wife

Not a bad idea..Shall try it out now..

SILENT STAR WARS!

Btw, what's the best cure for missing somebody? Avoiding them is definitely not the way :( [But then again, I'm heavily biased..haha]

Ecnerwal's Fujitsu says its now mostly cloudy and 28 Celcius over here. Sure don't seem that way to me..

But then again, we're Asians. And Asians know squat.

munchies!

A point brought up by somebody.

Are we all rotten fish? Or at least those of us who do moderately feast on fish.

Fish from here.

Since people that live near ports in China complained that fish from this region taste fishy/rotten. Even the best we have to offer.

So are we what we eat?

Yeah! Commencing downgrade from addictive gaming to recreational gaming =p
A whole morning dedicated to learning the secrets of CQC counter has not been wasted. Whee~

What's An Addict to Say?

How do you know that you might be really addicted to something?
Do you, in the words of the junkies in Stephen King's novels, say something like "I suddenly saw the big white elephant in the living room."
Or rather, seeing somebody wearing a greyish dress with a red floral design on it and suddenly thinking, "Oh man, effective in the rain."
Yeah, Aunt Jenny must have been wearing raindrop camo =p

Gurugumawaru

Lazy to update my blog these days.

Oh well, there's a season for everything I guess.

Good night?

Turning into a night owl.

Not good.

Don't really want to sleep unless it's waaaaay past my usual bedtime.

Haha, actually if this continues my "usual bedtime" would just be this time that I sleep.

Rats.

Definitely not good.

No more mind over matter crap. This time, the mind must yield to the body's demands.

Rebirth..Then is there something called re-labor-pains?

Wanted to say 死灰复燃..but oh well..
It's still true in a sense..
Error code 2,4 resurfaced, even after the motherboard and graphics card was replaced.
And as usual, only popped up after the technician left for some time.
Sometimes it's a love-hate relationship with computers.
It adores me, and I hate it.

=p

Or was it the other way round?

Think!

There's a thin fine line between being reckless and being bold.
Another exists between being careless and being confident.

It's not even red.

So none of that the better to see you with stuff.

Some people should really look where they're going, and use the thing between their ears more than once in many blue moons.

[And I'm not referring to the nose. It's another thing between the ears.]

Operation Snake Eater Completed

Yeah! After nearly a year of gameplay, and more than 1 year since I got hold of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, it's over. Whee!
And I'm a bat.
Haha..lousy ranking..shall try this time to get something better. Not FOX though, that's going to take too much time. Target is just to get all Keratan frogs and all boss camo suits. Should not be too hard.
Whee!
Lol..
Who are the Patriots? La-li-lu-le-lo.
Cool.
Too bad all these was just a big cover up for more deceitful purposes. Can't really blame Big Boss from turning out into what he was in the end. Oh well..Solid Snake still rocks =p

Sorry to all who don't really know much about Metal Gear Solid series.

Ouch!

Stabbed by friend. Styptic has been administered to the wound to stop bleeding, disinfectant applied for hygienic reasons, sutures used to close the wound and bandages wrapped around to keep everything in place. Congratulations, treatment complete.

Now for this thingy, whatever it is.

Bold if it's true for you. Italicise if you WISH it's true.

I miss somebody right now. (Loads of people, in fact. But like See-the-Light says, How can I miss you if you don't go? =p )
I don’t watch TV these days. (Haha, yeah..right..)
I am currently single.
I wear glasses or contact lenses.
I love to play video games. (Does this include computer games? Or console games? Hopefully not mind games though..)
I’ve tried marijuana. (Hmph. Wait till I graduate and work in Amsterdam. I'll dispense it! Lol..just kidding)
I’ve been in a threesome. (Does this include situations like where three people sit in a car and each of them think that the other two people are bothersome? So it's like Three-Some)
I have been the psycho-ex in a past relationship.
I believe that honesty is usually the best policy. (How about keeping quiet once in a while? It could be safer, or help to cool things off.)
I curse. (Just like the clam chowder served in Manhatten Fish Market, it depends on mood..but I'm trying to change?)
I have changed mentally over the last year.
I carry my knife/razor everywhere with me. (What, am I a paranoid android? Hehe..)
I’m TOTALLY smart.
I’ve broken someone’s bones.
I’m paranoid sometimes.
I would get plastic surgery if it were 100% safe, free of cost, and scar-free. (It isn't. Period. But I would if I got involved in a horrible terrible vegetable kind of accident that scars the body.)
I need money right now. (Maybe not right now kind of right now, but soon kind of right now. Makes sense?)
I love sushi. (Yeah, unagi on rice. What ever it's called.)
I talk really, really fast.
I have long hair. (Tried it once. Nearly. Itchy forehead and heaty neck/ears put me off. Maybe next year..)
I have lost money in Las Vegas. (Lol..I actually got some money in Las Vegas. Answered the tour guide's question and earned me some Vegas casino coins. Yeah!)
I have at least one sibling.
I have worn fake hair/fingernails/eyelashes in the past.
I couldn’t survive without Caller I.D. (Hmm, not really. Lived without it the past 19 years with no noticeable ill effects.)
I like the way I look. (Any suggestions to my change in appearance will be accepted, provided it's constructive. But not in the sense of constructive plastic surgery..)
I have a lot of mood swings.
I have a hidden talent.
I’m always hyper no matter how much sugar i have.
I have a lot of friends. (But only one stabbed me so far. Hopefully it's not a backstab.)
I have pecked someone of the same sex. (Family members. Definitely not gay!)
I enjoy talking on the phone. (Maybe?)
I practically live in sweatpants or PJ pants. (What, I'm Buaya Tan now? Haha)
I love to shop. (But I'm patient enough to accompany friends/family on shopping trips. A lousy opinion giver though.)
Enjoy window shopping.
I would rather shop than eat. (No way. Unless it's totally important and vital to survival. Haha..)
I don’t hate anyone. (No particular person comes to mind.)
I’m a pretty good dancer.
I’m completely embarrassed to be seen with my mother. (Please! That's so cliched. My mother rawks!)
I have a cell phone.
I believe in God.
I watch MTV on a daily basis.
I have passed out drunk in the past 6 months.
I’ve rejected someone before. (Sadly..)
I want to have children in the future.
I have changed a diaper before.
I’ve called the cops on a friend before.
I’m not allergic to anything.
I have a lot to learn.
I have been with someone at least 10 years older or younger. (abarden!)
I am shy around the opposite sex.
I have tried alcohol before. (Only tasted nice twice.)
I have made a move on a friend’s significant other or crush in the past.
I own the “South Park Movie".
I would die for my best friends. (Only if it would serve a meaningful purpose.)
I think that Pizza Hut has the best pizza. (Nope, the Italians do a better job. Especially the pizza guy in Australia near King's Cross Station.)
I have used my sexuality to advance my career. (Haha..my boss would've killed me. Funny, my dad would've too..)
I love Michael Jackson, scandals and all.
Halloween is awesome because you get free candy.
I watch Spongebob Squarepants and i like it.
I am happy at this moment. (Snake Eater just re-emerged, along with the "missing" memory card. So of course!)
I’m obsessed with guys. (Haha..errr..)
I study for tests most of the time. (Haha..errr..eh, deja vu?)
I tie my shoelaces differently from anyone I’ve ever met.
I am comfortable with who I am right now.
I have more than just my ears pierced. (Actually my ears are not pierced. But since I got stabbed by friend, technically I got pierced.)
I walk barefoot wherever i can.
I have jumped off a bridge.
I love sea turtles.
I spend ridiculous money on makeup.
I plan on achieving a major goal/dream.
I’m proficient in a musical instrument .
I have worked at a McDonald’s restaurant. (Maybe soon. Or KFC..who knows?)
I hate office jobs. (Just the office politics. The jobs are just fine thank you.)
I love sci-fi movies.
I think water rules. (Yup, beside the other state rulers, plastic rulers..)
I went to college out of state.
I like sausages.
I love kisses. (Not too sure. Havn't tried it outside of immediate family. But I definitely won't turn down those from Hershey. =p )
I fall for the worst people.
I adore bright colours.
I can’t live without black eyeliner.
I somehow enjoyed this thingy.
I usually like covers better than originals.
I can pick up things with my toes. (Only some. Can't you?)
I can’t whistle.
I can move my tongue in waves, much like a snakes slither.
I have ridden/owned a horse.
I still have every journal I’ve ever written in. (This be the only one.)
I can’t stick to a diet. (Never tried before. Unless you're referring to diet in its exact sense as defined by Webster - "Habitual nourishment". Only anorexics can't stick to that.)
I talk in my sleep. (Sometimes. Or used to.)
I try to forget things by drowning them out with loads of distractions.
Climbing trees is a brilliant past-time.
I have jazz in my blood.
I wear a toe ring. (Too fat for one.)
I can’t stand at LEAST one person that i work with.
I am a caffeine junkie.
I cosplay or know what cosplaying is.
I have been to over 15 conventions.
I will collect anything, and the more nonsensical the better.
I’m an artist.
I only clean my room when necessary.
I like a person of the same sex. (Many, in fact. Btw, this thing is really loaded with "I'm gay" or "This looks gay but is not" entries..)
I love being happy.
I am an adrenaline junkie.

Now stab 5 other people and let the cycle continue!

Bloodlust activated! =p

I stab banana, dodo, kid, N and san!

The answer is Sante Fe.

Round and round we go

One of the best areas to drive in town would be the roundabout.

The one near the palace, to be precise.

Not the one in front of the palace or the former-library-that-is-now-the-office-of-the-chief-minister, to be even more precise.

It's just so wide and BRIGHTLY LIT!

Which is much better than, say, the road to AST.

It could be that this effect is heightened by the fact that the road that leads to it, the one that separates the palace and the lake garden, is pretty much without lights at all.

This place of mine can really position itself as a new place as a practice ground for all sorts of racing, be it the traditional lap type, or the drifting type that is currently in vogue.

Need for speed babe!

[Wonder what'll happen once drifters start using the roundabout. Maybe the residents of the palace will have a word or two about it.]

Randomness..is kind of random

Talking to people or moving around helps a lot in suppressing the parasympathetic impulses that threaten to make the orbicularis oculi weigh a ton each.

Lousy nurses still get paid. If only when they are "retired".

The only lousy nurse has left after only one week of work.

Surprisingly, the lousy nurse is a relatively good employee. Since no negotiations were made about the salary before work began.

In fact, the idea of drawing pay did not even come up.

Su san will never be the friendly neighbourhood spiderman.

She's not friendly looking at all.

In fact, she's not even a he.

Roland: We were well met indeed.
signius: That was a good introduction. Nice meeting you, anatomy!
ah beng: Wah, shiok liow la! Got new fren aledy =)
reader: Huh, what? Skewed lines only..and why so many versions of the same thing? Go sleep lar you..
su san: Wei! I'm not spiderman ok?! After I ask tiang come and pay you a visit..

Engineer Bob

Going through the third book of the Dark Tower series. It's called The Waste Lands, and is inspired by the T.S. Elliot poem, The Waste Land.

I will show you fear in a handful of dust.

In the book, the boy Jake goes insane [hey, not his fault..it's due to a timeline split paradox] and writes a wonderful poem that is symbolic and et cetera et cetera.

Blaine is a pain
and that is the truth.
Choo-choo, choo-choo
Choo-choo, choo-choo, choo-choo
And that is the truth.

And surprisingly, he got an A for that.
Anyway, in Jake's when and where, he gets hold of a children's book about Charlie the Choo-choo. A supposedly alive train that talks with its driver who's called Engineer Bob.

Ok, at least Engineer Bob was there as long as Charlie was in commision. Only stopped when the company "retired" the old locomotive.

The engineer in charge yesterday was no Engineer Bob. 3 times the train from Bandar Tasik Selatan was cancelled. And why?

Let me tell you why I wasted 45 minutes waiting for a train in the midst of a haze brought on by kind neighbours.

The engineer in charge was overseas.

Most probably on holiday.

Self-declared holiday?

Not sure.

And that is the truth.

Return me the 45 minutes of my life wasted. Or recompense me.

Compensation for a portion of life doesn't come cheap.

Acro-what?

MAD - Mutually Assured Destruction, the military doctrine that advocates nuclear deterence by ensuring that both sides would be totally annihilated beyond any hope in the case that a full-scale nuclear war really happens.

API - Air Pollution Index, the rating of how polluted the air is.

Both fitting acronyms.

MAD is really a mad policy. Barbaric and self-centered, not to mention that there wouldn't be anything left to live for after a war happens.

API is usually quoted in this region only when haze sets in, usually caused by the burning of lush forests by our neighbour. Which involves api, or fire.

At least the night scene here looks a little like wintery places, or Genting. Or like the rubber plantation in Langkawi with a bonfire right in the middle.
It's really really bad over here =( [scroll halfway down and click the API link - DOE links don't allow direct linking] How's it for everyone else?

Acromegaly - Abnormal enlargement of the limbs, usually due to hypersecretion of growth hormone.

Though why I put it down is anybody's guess..

=p

Ads...

Man..What is Google thinking?!

Since when did I mention anything about HIV/AIDs?!
Crazy~

Currently?

Just finished rereading book 2 of Stephen King's Dark Tower series. It's titled The Drawing of the Three. Excellent. [Not to be confused with the series The 3 who slashed, or the parody, The 3 who were slashed. Mangoku!]
Some books just get better when you reread them. Maybe it sheds light on things that you didn't notice before. Or offers a new perspective.
And this series definitely counts as one of those books.
What do you expect from the Magnum Opus of Stephen King, writer extraordinairre?
Another is the Bible.
What do you expect from the Magnum Opus of God, creator extraordinairre?
Hehe..
All the best to all who are having lab tests and CAs in NUS.
All the best to those having exams in Kelantan.
Hope you all can finish mugging in time.
Don't sleep too late nocturnal..hehe..
